In 2016, Victoria and David rescued a mixed/spotted/whippet named "Becks". During Thanksgiving week, Laurel and I drove down to Washington DC in a rented car, with a set of New Hampshire license plates ready to mount onto the newly acquired 1994 940. On Friday of that week, we drove to Assateague Island, Virginia, to try out the "new" car before the even longer drive home to New Hampshire, on the following day. We also hoped to see wild horses... but did not. While walking the beach, we stopped for a photograph, looking south along the coastline. As last year's Christmas photograph was similar to 1991... this year's image is also similar to 1996, when we first acquired our retriever Amber.

1996 is on the third row, third tiny thumbnail from the left.
