"I qualified 4th in my SCCA division in B Sedan and attended the SCCA national runoff "American Road Race of Champions" (ARRC) at Daytona in November 1969 as first alternate. Unfortunately, the first three qualifiers all showed up, so although I got to practice, I didn't get to race that weekend. This was the second year of the same song. The Lotus Cortina and I had previously attended the ARRC at Riverside, California in November 1968, as first alternate in B Sedan from SW Division, but didn't get to race. Same reason."
