"They actually gave us a pit marshall… someone who was sort of , like… scrutineering our pits… sort of…going about our pits… making sure we did things to their rules or regulations… I would presume… It was a 24 hour.. a 12 hour? or a 24 hour race? ... I can’t remember. But I suppose he was making sure we weren’t doing any hanky-panky or anything. He was a nice bloke, I remember that. He sent me these photographs. And if you look at the back of that photograph, that is his writing."
